American Flyer 290 Steam Locomotive Train Set Tested and Works. U45

  
This is a complete train set that has everything you need except for a transformer to power the train. I have made a video of it working that you can see in the photo section. Concerning the American Flyer 290 Steam Locomotive and Tender, the motor works, the Choo-Choo unit works, the smoking unit works, the light works, and the reverse unit on the tender works. Concerning the switch left and switch right track pieces, I have tested these and unfortunately both motors that drive the switching mechanism are not strong enough to trip the switch. Therefore, you will need to get these serviced to get them working appropriately.

However, you can manually switch them if you would prefer. A small black accessory transformer is included to power these switch units. Also, the pair remote switcher is included and three out of the four lights work. One green light will need to be replaced. These cars along with the Locomotive and Tender all have some cosmetic flaws to them.
