This is an early 1970s basic engine. It DOES smoke, but no light, no whistle, and there is an E-unit to offer forward and reverse (no neutral), this engine as designed runs forward and reverse, it runs fast and true. Previous owner did insulate the sound board with double-sided tape, however, the "mighty sound of steam" as advertised in the 1974 catalog (as the Broadway Limited version #6-1487) is hardly audible caused by either weakness in the speaker or the sound board.
Also included for immediate assembly are eight O27 curve tubular tracks, six O27 straight tubular tracks, a power transformer-controller, power wires and a LOCKON. All in the original box which has seen better days.
