It is a complete train set and it is in very good condition. Included in this sale are the following.
1 - Marx #1666 2-4-2 steam locomotive with a working headlight and lens, nickel hand rails and smoke generator with puffer. It runs in forward and reverse directions controlled from the transformer. I believe this unit was built in the late 1940's or early 1950's. 1 - Marx Union Pacific 8 wheel slope back tender. 1 - Marx #54099 Missouri Pacific 8 wheel animated stock boxcar with sliding doors on both sides. This car is in excellent condition, but it is missing the cow that comes out when the door release is triggered. Also I do not have the door triggering control. 1 - Marx #4528 Erie 8 wheel flatcar with 2 removable plastic rolling cars. 1 - Marx #3824 Union Pacific 8 wheel bay window caboose. 1 - Lionel #1035 60 watt transformer with a speed control, a 110 volt power cord, 2 conductor track power cable and a Marx track power connector for connection to the track.8 - Marx O34 gauge 5 tie curved track sections. 4 - Marx O27 gauge 11 5 tie straight track sections. 1 - Standard operating instruction booklet.
1 - Track polishing pad. 1 - container of mineral oil smoke fluid. I completely assembled the set and tested everything. All parts of the train are in very good condition and it operates great.
The locomotive has been refinished and has nickel handrails. The cars are all in very good condition and each has tilt couplers. The tracks are the slightly longer 5 tie style, creating a nice size 45" X 45" oval (squared circle).
They are in fair condition with slight rust and tarnish. I lightly cleaned them, made sure each track has 3 pins and the train runs nicely on these tracks. Overall, this is a nice train set and is ready to set up and play with.
I have described this item to the best of my ability, please check the photos carefully as they are also part of the description.
