VINTAGE MARX HO TRAINS SET IN GRAPHIC ILLUSTRATED CARRYING CASE, 7 CARS, TRACK, BOTTLE SMOKE. This listing is for a vintage MARX HO TRAINS set that comes in its original, faux leather cardboard box carrying case with latch & handle. Attached to the outside of the case is a HO TRAINS, MADE IN U. The top edge where the latch is has a tear, handle is intact. Inside the cover is a colorful illustration of a father & son with a landscape scene featuring a diesel & steam locative engines, and an HO layout of trains and scenery.

Inside the molded case is a black die cast 4-6-4 steam engine with the number 6096 on cab. Works forward and reverse but could use a cleaning. Attached by rear coupler is a matching black tender with white lettering NEW YORK CENTRAL (couplers intact). Included is a red open hopper with white lettering WESTERN MARYLAND 54201, couplers intact. One black flat bed with search-light, (works but wire loose) marked G.

One brown flat bed with 2 oil tanks, CITIES SERVICE, couplers intact. And one maroon crane car marked NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM, NYC 499898, couplers intact. Also included are: 1 uncoupling track, 4 straight track sections, 12 curved track sections, and 1 bottle of MARX Locomotive Smoke just 1/5 full. No transformer came with this set.
